Recent events include the highly anticipated global launch of the OnePlus 11, as well as the unveiling of the OnePlus Ace 2 for China. Following the global event, a broadcast of the event was held in India. However, the Indian market was given a pleasant surprise in the form of the 11R, which is India’s equivalent of the Ace 2. This new piece of technology is the follow-up to the 10R that was released a year ago. Although it was modeled after the original Ace, the 10R was only available in India. Likewise, it is anticipated that the new 11R model will continue to be a subcontinent-only release.
Now let’s dive into the exciting aspects of the 11R. The device is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM, which enables a performance that is both smooth and quick. In addition, the 11R has upgraded cameras and a screen, as well as a fast charging system that is powered by 100W SuperVOOC S.
In comparison to the display on the 11S, OnePlus made some minor adjustments to the one on the 11R. The screen is still 6.74 inches in size, but the resolution has been increased from 1080 pixels by 2412 pixels to 1240 pixels by 2772 pixels. This resolution strikes a balance between Full HD+ and Quad HD+, which, thanks to the Adreno 730 GPU, results in graphics that are more crisply defined and enhanced performance when gaming. The smooth refresh rate of 120Hz is maintained throughout, and the panel is compatible with HDR10+ technology.
The battery life on the 11R has also been improved, and the device now has a balanced solution consisting of a 5,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging. This is a departure from the 10R’s dual charging and battery configurations. This manages to reach 100% in just 25 minutes, matching the speed of the flagship OnePlus 11, despite offering a longer battery life than the 10R’s 80W option does.
The camera system on the 11R is largely identical to the camera system on the 10R. It consists of a 50-megapixel main camera module and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The only noticeable advancement is an increase from 30 frames per second to 60 when recording 4K video, which was previously only possible on the 10R.
Last but not least, the cost of the 11R is reasonable, beginning at 40,000 for the model with 8/128GB of storage and 45,000 for the option with 16/256GB of space. The launch price of the 10R was 39,000 rupees, while the price of the 10T was 50,000 rupees; consequently, the 11R is an outstanding option for customers in the Indian market. There will be two color options for the device: galactic silver and sonic black.
