Realme 3 launched in India with 4230 mAh battery and Helio P70 chipset

Realme 3

Realme has just announced its first smartphone of 2019 in India at an event held earlier. This smartphone is the successor Realme’s budget lineup of devices. This latest smartphone from Realme has been named as Realme 3. It is seen as the direct successor to the Realme 2 launched by the company.

Also, it is currently the best offering in India under Rs. 10,000 range in the country. As far as the pricing is concerned, Realme 3 is available for Rs. 8,999 which undercuts the Redmi Note 7 by Rs. 1000 in India. As for the Redmi Note 7, it is priced starting at Rs. 9,999.

However, there are some differences between the Realme 3 and the Redmi Note 7. First of all, both devices have different processors. Redmi Note 7 comes equipped with a Snapdragon 660 chipset whereas Realme has packed a MediaTek Helio P70 chip on Realme 3.

Looking at the detailed specifications, Realme 3 comes with a 6.2-inch display with a dewdrop notch on the top, at an aspect ratio of 19:9. This notch houses the device’s front camera, light sensor, distance sensor, and earpiece. Realme also mentioned that they have changed the internal design of their device’s with the Realme 3. Earlier, Realme used a sandwich-like design which consisted of screen + middle frame + back cover.

Now, Realme uses an injection moulded unibody to achieve a better feel in hand and visuals. Also, Realme 3 comes in a gradient-finish for its back panel. This is similar to Redmi Note 7’s back panel which shows different colours as light reflects through its surface.

Realme 3 has a dual camera setup on the back which is normally the case with every smartphone these days. This camera setup is powered by 13MP + 2MP sensors. On the front, we get a 13MP ‘AI’ camera which is capable of bokeh mode as well as Group Selfie Beauty mode. Realme 3 is powered by ColorOS UI 6 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie and has 4230 mAh battery capacity.
