The high refresh display war started already and we have seen OnePlus 8 with 120Hz display launched. Now, Vivo’s iQOO brand just confirmed that it will introduce iQOO Z1 5G in China on May 19th.
MediaTek recently unveiled its Dimensity 1000+ processor that has 144Hz refresh rate display support as one of its highlighted features.
iQOO Z1 will be the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC that was announced last week.
To consume less power, MediaTek has also introduced 5G UltraSave with low and high bandwidth modes that can be used dynamically based on the app and the data consumption.
You also get HyperEngine 2.0 that scales up the GPU and CPU frequencies and handles and RAM, all while managing the power.
According to the image we have seen, it will sport a punch-hole display along with 144Hz refresh. It will also come with support for 44W fast charging.
iQOO entered the Indian smartphone market earlier this year with iQoo 3, which was also its first smartphones in the country with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor.
